UG Counselling by MCC – Complete Admission Guidance

The UG Counselling by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) is conducted for admission into MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical programmes across India. The counselling process is organized by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

MCC counselling is conducted for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, Central Universities, Deemed Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC Colleges, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Institutional Quota, Internal Quota, and other participating medical institutions.

Candidates who qualify the NEET UG Examination are eligible to participate in MCC UG counselling for admission into some of the top medical and dental colleges in India.

MCC conducts counselling for 15% Insured Person (IP) Quota seats of colleges under the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).

9. Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune

Admission to Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is also conducted through MCC counselling. Separate eligibility conditions and screening procedures may apply.

Institutional Quota / Internal Quota Seats

Central Universities Institutional Quota

Candidates seeking admission through institutional or internal quota seats of Central Universities such as:

  • Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
  • Banaras Hindu University (BHU)
  • University of Delhi (DU)
  • Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI)

ESIC Internal Quota

Internal quota seats of colleges under the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) are also filled through MCC counselling.

Eligibility Criteria for UG Counselling by MCC

1. NEET UG Qualification

Candidates must qualify the NEET UG Examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

2. Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with:

3. Minimum Qualifying Marks in 12th

  • General Category: Minimum 50%
